Please join us in support of H. 1844, An Act to Eliminate Discrimination on the Basis of Height and Weight

What would this bill do?

Section 4 of Chapter 151B and Chapter 272 of the Massachusetts General Laws state that various entities such as employers, labor agencies and real estate proprietors may not discriminate against persons based on race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, or ancestry. This bill would amend these statutes to include height and weight to the list of unlawful forms of discrimination. "Sizeism" denies talented individuals the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of their lives as well as our overall society. The commonwealth should not tolerate any type of discrimination.
